Blue lipped mussels have been found by the CSIRO to have comparitively higher amounts of total N-3 long chain fatty acids. 

the studied involved the popular green lipped mussel and other shellfish and seafood.

DHA (Docosahexaenoic acid) was almost double the amount than in GLM. DHA play a huge role in supporting healthy brain and nervous system function as it is the main structural componant.
